Jonathan Davis is one person who loves to see ‘The Green’.

In the beginning his association with it was through his job at First Franklin Financial Corporation; but after less than a year of selling sub-prime mortgages Davis knew the troubled lender was sinking. Davis wasn’t afraid of loosing his job and in preparation, before he was laid off; he started an online venture that connected consumers devoted to sustainable living with the businesses in the Portland area that wanted to show off their "green" plans.

The site caught on within the community and now has over 20 regular advertisers and revenue double of what it was last year. Davis is confident that the site is on track to continue to grow at that rate.

Davis has also begun expanding into "sustainability consulting," which is essentially evaluating waste streams and helping implement changes in your business. His first client was the California Alumni Association, which hired him to make its summer camps greener. Davis is happy to announce that he currently earns enough money to support his lifestyle and isn't planning to go back into the job market.
